Andy Warhol back to Naples!
The exhibition, called Showcases, will collect 150 works with a particular attention to the relationship that has existed between the American artist and Naples born in 1970

In the exhibition will present the portraits of well-known personalities who knew Warhol in his visits to Italy, remember that your friendship with Lucio Amelio was responsible for the birth of his well-known "headline work" Hurry up, inspired on the front page of the morning of November 23, 1980, consists of three large canvases, on each of which is reproduced, with different shades of gray, the first page of «Morning» two days after the Irpinia earthquake.
Other Neapolitan Warhol had the inspiration for the series of works, Vesuvius, where the image of the volcano, is replicated in different colors.

The exhibition "Showcases", will also host a large group of works on paper drawn from the Golden Shoes series, created by Warhol early in his career in New York in the mid-50, when he was the graphic designer and a window dresser for the shops of Madison Avenue, as well as the presentation of serigraphs of Campbell's soup and Camoufflage, "sculpture" boxes and t-shirts made from the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts
The exhibition also will propose Ledies and Gentlemen series of 1975 and the drawings by the artist from photographs of Wilhelm von Gloeden (1978) the historic series of 1967 and Marilyn signed in 1985 by Warhol with the inscription "this is not mine ' (Marilyn this is not by me).).
