The Christ of Michelangelo
On exhibtion the wooden sculptures of the Christ Crucified, attributed to Michelangelo Buonarroti, made around the year 1495.
The small sculpture has been showed to the public, for the first time, in 2004 in Florence. Only after ten years of studies and investigations, the work has been attributed to the Tuscan artist. The work is exceptional for his perfect proportions, inscribable in a circle and a square like the famous Vitruvian man by Leonardo Da Vinci, for the anatomic correctness and sculptural quality that has characterized Michelangelo s art.
